Gladys Marie Ilacqua, aka “Kay,” 68, of Glen Cove, passed Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017. She was born Aug. 14, 1948, in Glen Cove, New York, the daughter of Thomas A. McCauley and Ethel Kreyer.
She is survived by her daughter, Danielle K. Ilacqua; five siblings: three sisters Margaret Gonzalez (Marge), Elizabeth Martino (Liz), and Patrica McCauley (Pat) and two brothers Anthony McCauley and John McCauley; many loving nieces and nephews, including Michael McCauley, Margaret Winowsky, Michelle and Albert Gonzalez, Norman, Robert (Bobby) and George McAleney, Carmen, Michael and Elizabeth (Lizzy) Martino, John (John-John) and Todd McCauley (God son), Desiree McCauley Makovsky, Raymond (Ray-Ray), Patricia (Patty Ann, God daughter), Anthony (Tony) and Dolores Lopez, and Barbara-Margaret, Tommy, John Peter, Jimmy, Liz, Walter (Walley), Michael, Kathy and David McCauley; great nieces and nephews including Chelsea Capobianco, Bryana Vasquez, Devin, Caleb and Alicia Makovsky, Olivia Martino, Brendan and Kailen McCauley, John, Joseph, Matthew and Jacob McCauley, Tricia Lopez, Ashely and Sean McAleney, James, Kelly and Steven McCauley and her great-great nieces and nephews who she dearly loved, Gianna Mora, Megan Shea, Adam Lopez, Caeley and Lealani Arellano and Brody and Ava McAleney.
Kay was loved by her friends and families and will always be in our hearts. All are welcomed to attend her funeral service on Monday, Feb. 20, at 10 a.m., St. Patrick’s Church, 235 Glen St., Glen Cove, NY 11542
